What are Faeries/Fairies?

Reality is perception. My experience is that in life, just when you think you've figured something out, a whole other door opens to an even broader perspective. So in the spirit of expanding possibilities, I have decided to include several theories as to what exactly faeries are.

1. Spirits of Nature - Just as humans feel they have spirit guides or guardian angels to assist us in our lives, so do plants, animals, and other Earth elements. Faeries, gnomes, sylphs, etc. assist in amplifying and holding the manifestation of the Life Force into the form of a plant, animal, etc. All of the energetic processes and the physical processes are assisted by these nature spirits.

2. A form or image manifested by ourselves and the Universe - Faery beings as an image conjures up instant understanding. We think and feel Nature, magic, creation, other-worldliness. In dreams we create a reality, and this dream reality is a reflection of our soul, our thoughts, and our emotions. I like this theory the most because it keeps the reality of Nature expanded. The essence of Nature is so far beyond a little faery being. Faeries are a means that humans can communcate with and understand this powerful Life Force of Nature.

3. There have been too many encounters and stories to discount it - Perhaps we don't know what they are, but through time and across culture, nature spirits have existed and stories of unbelievable encounters have been passed on. This is evidence enough.
